DIY Recipes – How I Make My Natural Hair Care Products

I like to do my own natural hair care treatments. Some of them are easy to mix and some of take a bit more time. You can find everything you need to create your DIY products online. There are a lot of inspirations out there. Just start small and see how your hair reacts. I would recommend also to take note or photos to remember everything. Here are the natural hair care recipes that work great for me.

Homemade – Natural Hair Recipes

The recipes are easy to make and you can buy everything in the supermarket. I sometimes use a hooded dryer to add heat to my treatment. You can always add extra heat by using a hooded dryer. Turn your kitchen into your labor and your bathroom into a salon. You will see how much fun you will have doing most things by yourself. Start saving your money today.

Conditioner Recipes


Frolicious Conditioner recipeIngredients:

  • 1 peeled and mashed Avocado
  • 1 cup Coconut milk (or less, if you like it thick)

Directions:
Mix the mashed avocado the coconut milk in a small bowl. Heat the mixture for approx. 45 seconds in a microwave. Massage your conditioner into your hair. Cover your hair with a plastic or shower cap and then wrap it in a towel for minimum 15 minutes. Shampoo or just rinse everything out.

  • 1 Tsp Honey
  • 2 Tbsps Olive Oil
  • 1 Egg Yolk

Directions:
Put all ingredients in small bowl and mix everything. Section your hair and massage the mixture on it. Cover your hair with a plastic or shower cap for minimum 30 minutes. Rinse and shampoo everything out.

  • 1/2 cup Mayonnaise
  • 2 Tbsps Olive Oil

Directions
I would recommend to put the mixture on damp hair. Then apply the treatment to your hair and massage it in. Cover your hair with a plastic or shower cap. Let it sit for 20 minutes and shampoo everything out rinse. I know the smell is not the best…

 

 

Deep Conditioner Recipes

  • 1 small jar of Mayonnaise
  • 1/2 Avocado

Directions:
Mash avocado and mix it with the mayonnaise
in a bowl. Massage the mixture into your hair. Cover it with a plastic or shower cap and let it
sit for 20 – 30 minutes. Rinse everything out.

  • 4 Tbsps Coconut Oil
  • 2 Tbsps Honey

Directions:
Put coconut oil and honey in a small bowl and then heat the mixture in a microwave. Apply the hot treatment to your hair. Cover it with a plastic or shower cap and let it sit for 20 – 30 minutes. Rinse everything out.

 

 

 

IngredientsOil

  • 4 Tbsps Olive Oil
  • 2 Tbsps Coconut Oil
  • 1 Tsp Jojoba Oil
  • 1 Tsp Castor OIl

Directions:
Combine ingredients and heat everything in a microwave for 30 or less seconds. Massage your
hot oil treatment on your scalp and hair. Cover it with a plastic or shower cap and let it sit for
20 – 30 minutes. Rinse everything out.
