Shea Moisture’s Product Review

I was looking for a detangler and decided to try the Shea Moisture Coconut & Hibiscus Curl & Style Milk. I went to my Afro Shop called “Grace World of Beauty” (Hamburg, Germany) and bought it. The styling milk is formulated with silk protein & neem oil for thick, curly hair. How would my fine hair respond to this?

Product Claim

Shea Moisture Curl & Style Milk detangles, conditions and controls curls, while restoring body and shine for thick, curly hair.

This product contains:

  • Coconut oil: Hydrates and protects hair while reducing breakage
  • Silk protein: Smoothes hair for a soft silky feel
  • Neem oil: Controls frizz while adding brilliant shine

Suggested Using
Apply as a no-rinse moisturizer and styling cream to damp, towel-dried or dry hair as needed.

How I Used It

I absolutely love the smell of this product. The consistency of this hair milk is creamy comparable to a light leave-in conditioner. I washed my hair with a conditioner and put my hair in 8 sections. Then I applied my daily spritz mixture (leave-in conditioner and water) on my damp hair and the curl & styling milk on top.

Let me tell you this: I was able to detangle my 4c hair without any problems. This Shea Moisture product does exactly what it says it detangles, adds moisture to my hair while making it feel ultra soft for days. I applied olive oil to the ends and a bit on the rest of my hair to seal the moisture in. The hair milk is not sticky nor does it make hair hard or stiff.

Would I Recommend This?

Definitely! The Shea Moisture Coconut & Hibiscus Curl & Style Milk is a really great detangler and moisturizer especially for those who have dry hair like me. Check out my other review about the Anti Breakage Masque by the same brand.
