Moringa grows in subtropical areas. The leaves of the Moringa plant are loaded with vitamins, minerals, essential amino acids and more. Great Moringa Powder Recipes for Hair and Skin
Moringa Powder contains SEVEN times the vitamin C in oranges, FOUR times the vitamin A in carrots, FOUR times the calcium in milk, THREE times the potassium in bananas and TWO times the protein in Yoghurt. It is a tiny leaf with enormous benefits. Recently, I have tried the following two Moringa Powder recipes for hair and skin.
1. Moringa Powder Avocado Face and Hair Mask
Moringa contains vitamins A, C, E and antioxidants. All these healthy nutrients are also great for your hair and skin. Create a thick, Moringa face mask for your skin or a deep conditioner to feed your hair. It will moisturize your hair and give you a natural and smooth glow.
Avocados contain incredible amount of essential nutrients, including vitamins, minerals and anti-oxidants.
Lemons is a great source of vitamin C, calcium, magnesium and potassium. They also have antioxidant, antibacterial, antifungal, and astringent properties that help improve the appearance and condition of your hair, skin and nails.
You need:
- 1 tablespoon of Moringa Powder
- 1 ripe avocado (mashed)
- 1 tablespoon honey
- 1 teaspoon of fresh lemon juice or water
Directions: Mix all ingredients together in a bowl.
Hair:
Moringa powder is a powerful hair conditioner. Apply to damp, clean hair and also massage it onto your scalp. Put a plastic cap on your hair and let it sit for 20-30 minutes. Rinse it out and wash your hair as usual. Repeat twice a month for best results. You’ll see the difference right away!
Skin:
Clean your face as usual. Apply it evenly on your face. Don’t rub and please avoid your eye area. Leave it on for 15-20 minutes. Rinse with warm water and moisturize your face with your favourite moisturizer.
2. Moringa Powder Banana Face and Hair Mask
Moringa leaves are known for their anti-bacterial and anti-inflammatory characteristics.
Honey contains vitamins, minerals, is antibacterial, acts as a humectant (attracts moisture), and has amazing healing properties. So you see, the usage of honey is great for your skin. It makes the hair healthy and it is not expensive.
Tea tree oil reduces hair loss and promotes hair growth. It also naturally soothes itchy scalp and prevents many hair problems such as dandruff or baldness.
Bananas are a very rich source of potassium and vitamins A, E, and C, which make them the perfect choice for homemade hair growth and skin treatments.
You need:
- 1 tablespoon of Moringa Powder
- 1/2 banana (mashed)
- 1 tablespoon honey
- 2 teaspoon tea tree oil
Directions: Mash the Banana and mix all ingredients in a bowl.
Hair:
This conditioner is also a great moisturizer for your hair and it also promotes hair growth. Apply to damp, clean hair and also massage it onto your scalp. Put a plastic cap on your hair and let it sit for 20-30 minutes. Rinse it out and wash your hair as usual. Repeat every week for best results.
Skin:
This recipe will keep your blemishes under control. It smells good, but is also smooth and hydrating for your skin. Clean your face as usual. Apply this mask generously on problem spots. Don’t rub and please avoid your eye area. Leave it on for 15-20 minutes. Rinse it off with warm water and moisturize your face with your favourite moisturizer. Repeat as needed.
