I am so excited to introduce you our Frolicious Beauty for this week. A 4 C hair Frolicious Beauty from Maryland (USA).
Oluwadunsin Akinyemi
Hi, my name is Oluwadunsin Akinyemi. I was born and raised in Nigeria. My family and I moved to the U.S for a better living. We lived in Miami, Florida for about 2 years before moving to our current location which is Maryland.
How did you go natural? And why?
Oluwadunsin Akinyemi: I was always natural my whole life before moving to the States. When I was in the 5th grade, I didn’t have much friends and I was trying to adapt to a new environment. Everyone around me had relaxed thin long long hair, so I wanted to be a part of the trend. Years after moving to Maryland, I started growing into myself and did a big chop and went back natural. Oh how much I missed my tight 4c coils!
What is your daily hair routine? What is your best natural hair tip?
Oluwadunsin Akinyemi: I have been natural for almost 4 years. I usually have a protective style in but when I don’t I make sure to wash my hair every 2 weeks, I always make sure to do hot oil treatment and trim my ends when it is blown out for hair growth.
Have you ever had a setback? What happened?
Oluwadunsin Akinyemi: Other than getting tired of detangling my hair and blowing it out, I have not had any setbacks since I’ve been natural
Would you relax for $ 1 million?
Oluwadunsin Akinyemi: Relaxing my hair is not even an option but 1 million dollar would be awesome LOL!
