Some time ago, I received some goodies from Antidotestreet.com to use. First of all, thanks a lot Antidotestreet.com for this wonderful hair care kit. Today, I am reviewing Alikay Naturals Lemongrass Leave-in Conditioner. I have heard some great things about it.
Review – Lemongrass Leave-In Conditioner
Product Name: Alikay Naturals Lemongrass Leave-In Conditioner
Size: 8 oz/ 236 ml (You can get 3 different sizes on Antidotestreet.com)
I would consider my hair as thin, kinky 4 c and 4 b hair in some areas. The product claim says that this lightweight leave-in conditioner is a perfect solution for all hair types. The first thing that caught my attention is the bright yellow color of the product. I was hesitant about the color, but the fragrance smells like lemon and summer – just delicious. It is not too strong or heavy. In addition to this, it has a pump bottle. The lemongrass leave-in conditioner is lightweight but thick enough to coat your strands. It contains many oils, but it is not super oily. The water (first ingredient) really cuts down on the oily consistency. However, can this product really moisturize my hair?
There is a section on the bottle that lists the featured ingredients:
- Silk Amino Protein: Nourishes and rebuilds damaged hair cuticle.
- Aloe Vera Juice: Moisturizes and strengthens cortex of damaged hair
- Lemongrass Oil : Reduces hair shedding, promotes shine and volume
Water (Aqua), Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice (Aloe Vera Juice), Cetearyl Alcohol (Coconut derived), Stearalkonium Chloride (Coconut derived), Silk Amino Acids (Natural protein), Vegetable Glycerin, Prunus Amygdalus Dulcis (Sweet Almond) Oil, Triticum Vulgare (Wheat) Germ Oil, Cymbopogon Flexosus (Lemongrass) Oil Extract, Behentrimonium Methosulfate (Natural Detangling Agent), Sorbic Acid (Food Grade Preservative), Fragrance (Parfum), Color (Yellow 5), Botanical Blend
A lightweight leave-in conditioner that penetrates deep into hair cortex to lock in moisture, soften, strengthen and condition each strand. Infused with Essential oils, Aloe Vera and Silk Amino Protein that repair dry damaged hair which promotes moisture from the inside the cuticle. The lemon zest scent is yummy and refreshing. Hair will feel silky soft and ready to be styled fabulously.
Can be used on dry or wet hair. After shampooing the hair, be sure to saturate to saturate each strand to ensure proper coverage. Can also be used as a daily moisturizing spray onto hair and style as usual.
How I Used it:
I have been using this for a while and I must say that my hair like this product. I have used it on freshly washed hair and also on dry hair. What I like about this Lemongrass Leave-In Conditioner is the slip due to the Behentrimonium Methosulfate (Natural Detangling Agent). That means detangling my hair is much easier with this product. Moreover, this lightweight product is great for my low porosity hair. Because heavy hair products tend to sit on my hair for hours.

Would I Recommend This?
I like the smell and how soft my hair feels after using it. The fact that this Lemongrass Leave-In Conditioner does not contain Petroleum, Mineral Oils, Alcohol, Parabens, Sulfates and Silicones is a big plus for me.
Would I recommend it? Yes, I would!!!
If you have low porosity hair then this is a great product for you! Give it a try to see how it works on your hair as every hair is different. I will continue to use it. The next thing I am going to try is the LOC Method with this product.
Have you tried this Lemongrass Leave-In Conditioner or any other Alikay Naturals Products? Which are your favorites? I’d love to hear your thoughts!
